A huge thank you to all the parents who turned out on Wednesday evening for the first of many nights of St. Laurence O'Toole's new Parents Association, amidst the wind, rain, thunder and lightning it was amazing to see so many new and familiar faces.
Sharon Hayden from the National Parents Council gave us 'food for thought' about how a Parents' Association can have an impact on the students/ learners of St. Laurence O'Toole's National School.
'It's not all about fundraising or shaking a bucket,' explained Sharon 'but about the support of parents for each other, for the success and well-being of your child and for the life of the school'.
Our next meeting will be held after the mid-term break (date to be confirmed) and it promises to be another great night of information and chats with Sharon along with some prices from Ms. Kelly!
