St Laurence O’Toole is a community where children and adults are valued and supported to aim high (our new school motto). We are all confident learners, who are inspired by the world, flexible in our thinking and understand how to care for ourselves and others. We have pride in everything we do, and we look after what we have.

Over the past year staff, students and parents have collaborated to develop the core values that make St. Laurence O’Tooles/ Roundwood National School unique. 

The following values were evident amongst all participants:

Teamwork, 

Championing Others, 

Cinéaltas (Kindness), 

Honour, 

EngAgement in learning 

Resilience. 

Our values were launched last week amongst the student body at Friday’s assembly with Ms. Kelly. Over the next few months through our SPHE lessons and specific assemblies we will explore the meaning of each value and how we show that value in St. Laurence O’Toole’s. 

This month we are focusing on Teamwork as a school. As we launch into a new school year. We work together to show teamwork in every area of school in class, in the yard, working with our peers, helping our teachers/ SNAs and encouraging other learners.
