Pro-Cathedral Event 2025!

On November 14th, St. Laurence O'Toole NS in Roundwood was honoured to be one of 13 schools in the Archdiocese of Dublin to be invited to the Pro-Cathedral in Marlborough Street. A number of children from the 5th and 6th classes were accompanied by some of their parents, teacher Margaret Fitzpatrick and Pauline Heatly.  Róisín Donelon had the honour of being asked to perform the first Prayer of the Faithful during the Mass. The congregation were gathered to honour 200 years of the Pro-Cathedral in Dublin, now renamed as St.Mary's. This Mass also celebrated the 800th anniversary of the Canonisation of Laurence O'Toole.  The Saint Laurence O'Toole schools in the Dublin Archdiocese came together to celebrate this special 800th Anniversary of this renowned religious figure, whilst also celebrating the Bicentenary of the Pro-cathedral.St Laurence has a special connection with Glendalough and surrounding areas.
